FROZEN IN TIME
A PHOTO ESSAY
WHAT STARTED AS A PROJECT DESIGNED TO COPE WITH THE COLD OF MICHIGAN’S WINTER HAS RESULTED IN A FINE ART COFFEE TABLE BOOK.
FROZEN IN TIME is a photo essay featuring Lake Michigan’s shoreline during the winter. I began this project during the winter of 2013 and continued working on it through the winter of 2014-2015. These were severe seasons which broke several longstanding records, while providing many opportunities to capture beautiful images of the icy landscape.
The book consists of 112 pages, with a few pages dedicated to statistics about these particular winter seasons. Nothing can replace traditional ink on paper, and frigid weather that produces images like these are few, and far between
