A saw a fog front come in so I headed to the beach to see how the seawalls and jetties were doing… As many times as I have been to the same spots, I am always stunned to see the differences from one day to the next.

I wanted to make some images which has an infinity / foggy background, and though I did get plenty, I’m posting one that better reflects the conditions of the beach, and the erosion.

This summer this jetty wasn’t visible, but today it’s about 4 feet high, and there are many like it. It’s interesting to see these, and wonder what the beach and shoreline looked like when this was built. These were built about 25 years ago, and after laying buried under sand for the past 15 years or so, the wood has taken on some unique and interesting textures.
